New operating manuals according to Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU are online!

The new Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 2014/68/EU has been binding since 19 July 2016. It replaces PED 97/23/EC. The basics of the Pressure Equipment Directive have been retained. There is no change in the scope of application of the Pressure Equipment Directive or the declaration of conformity diagrams. In accordance with Article 48 of the new Directive, existing certification documents remain valid. However, there are some changes resulting from details that mean that different companies will have to respond in different ways.

You can find out about the changes that you need to pay attention to here.

This means that for us as a manufacturer of pressure equipment, the main changes will involve revising our CE marking procedures and our operating manuals to comply with the new Directive 2014/86/EU. Of course, we've done our homework in good time. That's for sure!

In the case of dry hopping, hops are added after primary fermentation has taken place. Dry hopping is used because the fermenting wort and in particular the alcohol that forms during this process extracts the beer aroma.
